There's two quests you can do to get 15 points each. I haven't gotten there yet, so you might do a forum search to find where they are.

As an elemental primary/mesmer secondary, you do not get the fast cast attribute. You might want to put some points into domination or inspiration...

Teamspeak is free if you aren't running the server. I think Ventrilo is the same or very cheap as well.
