My mains a Dervish. Haven't really played rangers outside of AB/early PvE but from what I've gathered, they are more versatile and easier...

Maybe if you really really wanted to go /Rt you could take splinter/nightmare weapon? probably not as good as taking decent scythe attacks, but...
