Shift + Click on the skill to disable it. Then force them to cast it on you. Heroes will not remove disabled maintained enchantments.
Just make the cast time 1 second (or 3/4) and add a recharge of 10 seconds. This would stop heroes being useless for 3 seconds (aftercast) and...

I thought you could just enter the fight, quit GW, come back and then you'll be in the area after the fight? I.e. no danger in the arena.
Interesting. What was the approximate /age? Good for you for not bringing any necros, but was the ranger that helpful? I can imagine swapping him...
A few things based on the first video: - it seems at least your Jora is on 'Fight' mode. All your heroes should be on 'Guard'...
