If you're target is adjacent to any foes you miss most of your damage. Also, the power of the sp/boa was the deepwound on the second hit....
Send in your warrior first. He should be taking all the damage. Take some defensive skills with you. Don't take aggro. If you have aggro, lose it.

You have to try with an opened and closed GvG gate. You can shadowstep through the walls if the gate is open.
