My personal best is a 15/E-5 ebon gothic sword of fortitude. Best I've ever seen or heard of is a req.8 crystalline from the hoh chest.

bow damage sucks balls compared to any other damage source in the game. rangers have nice armor against elemental damage and some evade stances...

If it's about large sums, like 100K+ then Anet might get suspicious for things like Ebaying. 10K is fairly harmless I think.
