What I don't get is why does every skill line have to follow some idea precicely. I mean look at water magic... a third of the skills in there...

First thing to remember is you can always change secondary. For true solo farming your best choices are usually monk, mesmer, and rit.

I used to farm plant fibers in the area east of not berigen but that one with the undead quest. Seeds can be salvaged into fibers.
