Yeah, it's a bug. If you infuse near the end of a spike (ie when the person is about to die) the infuse won't register, and you lose life....

I think someone mentioned to me a barrage/vic/vig ranger, but I'm not sure about how much dps you get as opposed to the hps you get (~150 per sec)
