They paid that much? It's their own fault. Weapons AND armor, make them inscribable/insigniable.
Really want a word in from Gaile about this, if possible

It can't be difficult to do so, as I said they upgraded the old stats on armor from proph after factions came out.
Well what about this question FUTURE chapters..........if inscriptions are going to be available there, it's kinda screwing the 2 older ones...
Couldn't they even put in an NPC to add the ability to do this to aquired weapons/armor? -_-
